Mark Nowak has been playing the trumpet for 25 years. He is a graduate
of the Eastman School of Music and the University of Georgia. Mr.
Nowak has performed in rhythm & blues bands, salsa bands, jazz big
bands, jazz combos, latin jazz bands, retro swing bands, orchestras, wind
ensembles, brass ensembles, polka bands, and as a soloist in churches,
coffee houses, clubs, recital halls, concert halls, shopping centers,
ballrooms, and museums. He has played professionally in Massachusetts,
New York, Georgia, Arizona, and California. Mr. Nowak performed at the
Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and Jazz a Vienne in France. He has
played for golf’s Ryder Cup tournament and at Super Bowl XXXIV, and
has shared the stage with renowned trumpeters Fred Mills, Tim Morrison,
Marvin Stamm, and Jeff Jarvis. He now splits his time as evenly as he can
manage between Music Assistant/Jazz Band Director at Twin Peaks Middle
School and as Dad to Clare.
