    Trombonist and Educator Andrew Moreau is a native San Diegan, and
    very active professional musician. Holder of an undergraduate degree in
    Music Performance from the University of the Pacific and a Master's in
    Music Performance from DePaul University, Andrew studied with low
    brass greats Charlie Vernon and Mark Fisher. He earned his teaching
    credential at Alliant International University. Andrew has performed
    with the Stockton Symphony and Opera, Concertante di Chicago, San
    Diego Chamber Orchestra, Orquesta de Baja, the Lyric Opera of San
    Diego, and was an associate member of the Chicago Civic Orchestra.
    Andrew has performed in numerous musicals and is experienced in jazz
    and commercial music as well. He has worked with Clark Terry, Plas
    Johnson, Matt Finders and the Del Bybee Big Band. Andrew performs
    with the La Jolla Symphony, Pacific Sound Brass Quintet and the Big
    Band Express. Andrew has worked in schools from Imperial Beach to
    Mission Viejo at all levels of education from Elementary School through
    the collegiate level. He is currently the Band Director at Twin Peaks
    Middle School in Poway, where he lives and enjoys ultrarunning.
    Mr. Moreau is currently performing with several ensembles:

  • La Jolla Symphony - Mr. Moreau plays bass trombone in this classical symphony orchestra
    affiliated with UCSD.
  • Moonlight Stage Productions - Mr. Moreau plays trombone for the theatre's musical
    performances, including the current production of "Hairspray".
  • Marty Conley's Big Band Express - This big band group performs Sunday nights in "The Grill"
    at the Hotel La Jolla.  Before dropping by to listen, parents should check with Mr. Moreau
    to make sure that he is performing that night.
  • Pacific Sound Brass Quintet - Mr. Moreau recently joined this musical group.
